The first "king" we encountered - along with aces, queens and jacks

We didn’t drive straight through to Alabama.  Jim and I left Avon MN early January 25^th and made it as far as Minneapolis.  When Jim texted Mark that we had made it to the Cities, he replied, “It’s going to take you a long time to get to the beach at this rate!”

We stayed in the Cities for two days in order to play in a bridge tournament, before heading to Indianapolis for another.  So, how did we do?  We took first one afternoon in the St. Paul tournament, and left after two days with more than ten silver master points.  In Indianapolis, we took first in one event, and left with slightly more than 3 gold points.  I have a goal of becoming a life master, but the different colors and amount of points necessary drives Jim crazy.  He just wants to play a good game.   I feel that we did that.
